His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is scheduled to attend the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit which will be held from 17th to 18th June 2026 in Kazan, Russian Federation.

The Commemorative Summit, held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia Relations, will be co-chaired by His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines as the Chair of ASEAN this year, and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and will be joined by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and other ASEAN Leaders. The Commemorative Summit is expected to review the progress achieved under the ASEAN-Russia Comprehensive Plan of Action (CPA) for 2021 – 2025, chart the course for future cooperation, as well as renew the shared commitment to strengthening the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership.
